Terms and Conditions

1. Rates include: Unlimited mileage (U.N.L.), Third Party Insurance (T.P.I.), Collision Damage Waiver (C.D.W.), Airport Service Charge (A.S.C.), Theft Protection (T.P.) & VAT
2. VAT is currently 19% (13% applies in Rhodes, Lesvos, Myconos, Naxos, Paros, Skiathos, Kos, Santorini, Samos, Syros, Karpathos, Chios, Thassos) and is included in rates.
3. Minimum rental is one day. The 25th hour is free of charge. An extra day will be charged from the 26th hour.
4. Vehicle will be provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned full (only with unleaded gasoline), otherwise our current refueling charge will apply.
5. All traffic fines resulting from violation of the Greek traffic law are for renter’s account.
6. None of the insurances cover damages of tires, mirrors, windscreens or of car parts underneath the vehicle as well as any breakage of windows.
7. Baby/Child seat and snow chains are available upon request free of charge.
8. Airport fee for all airports is included. The Airport fee has value when the pick up station is in an airport.
9. Additional Driver’s fee: Euro 2,50 plus VAT per day.
10. Delivery and Collection is free of charge to all Sixt stations in town or airport of the same town or the same island (except south Crete and South Corfu).
11. Delivery/Collection: From/to hotels in town: Euro 12,00 plus VAT - From/to suburban hotels: Euro 20,00 plus VAT - Night/after hours (21:30 - 08:00): Euro 20,00 plus VAT (except Athens airport).
12. “Rent it here - Leave it there” service: It is applicable between Athens-Thessaloniki-Chalkidiki-Kavala-Alexandroupoli-Patra and in Crete between Heraklion-Chania-Rethymno-Ag. Nikolaos. To all other destinations the charge is Euro 0,50/km + VAT for groups MCMN, EDMR, CCMR - Euro 1,00/km + VAT for groups CDMR, IDMR, SDMR, CDAR, SDAR, SVMR, CFMN, IFMN, CTMR, ITMR - Euro 1,20/km + VAT for group FVMR, PDMR, LDMR, XDMR, FFMR.
13. Driver must be 23+ years old for groups MCMN, EDMR, CCMR, CDMR and 25+ years old for all other groups and have a personal credit card used as a deposit.
14. Drivers aged between 21-22 years old will be subject to Young Drivers Surcharge by paying the amount of Euro 20,00 plus VAT daily.
15. Ferring the vehicle: An advanced written authorization from Sixt Greece is required.
16. Across the border rental: Not allowed.
